Erasmus+ International Project

We are honoured and excited to be part of a 3 year research project funded through Erasmus + (European Union) that began in October 2015.  We will be continuing our collaboration with 4 West Midlands settings Madeley Nursery School (Telford & Wrekin), Hillfields Children’s Centre (Coventry), Woodlands Primary and Nursery School (Telford & Wrekin) and 5 Pre-Schools in Stockholm, Sweden.

This research grant, awarded to our collaborative network will enable us to investigate and develop innovative enquiry based teaching and learning in which digital media is used creatively to generate thinking, knowledge and the expression of children’s ideas.

We look forward to sharing and working alongside our families,  and disseminating research findings with local and national learning communities and internationally as the work progresses. We aim to engage in developing new ways of thinking about the possibilities that digital media offers to children to support and encourage creative and critical thinking dispositions.

It will give educators the opportunity to visit Sweden and for ourselves to welcome Swedish educators into our schools to share practice and knowledge.  We also aim to continue the connection between the classrooms and children themselves between Ashmore Park and Barnasinnet Pre-School in Stockholm that offers such rich opportunities for communication and messaging between them.
